The Orrell Family Association (OFA) was formed in 1986 and published quarterly newsletters until 1998 when they were discontinued. Their newsletters included articles and research information relating to Orrell families worldwide, mainly focused on England and the USA, and including the Orrells of Turton Tower, and Wigan.
From issue #9, two editions of the newsletter were published, one for the U.S. members and one for the British. Some content was shared and appears in both editions. The U.S. editions are currently available to view online for free on the FamilySearch.org website (account required), except issue #24.
Lancashire Archives holds copies of the UK Orrell Family Association Newsletters from number 14 through to 29 (in pamphlet box 176). Bolton Archives hold issues 15 to 32.
