Based on Brian's forthcoming book 'Northerners: A History, from the Ice Age to the Present Day', which will be published on April 14 by Harper North, a new Manchester-based imprint of HarperCollins. It is the first general history of northern England to be published for more than 30 years. The north west, including Bolton and Bury, naturally forms an important part of the story.
We are promised an entertaining event with wide appeal and plenty of local interest, a 45-minute romp through 180 million years of northern history!
