Summary

Compiled to mark the 50th anniversary of the Turton Local History Society in 2024, A Turton Timeline presents a chronological record of events in the Turton district, from the Bronze Age to the present day. It includes both significant historical events and smaller, everyday happenings that reflect local life over time.  The content is mainly drawn from TLHS publications, along with other local history sources. The book is illustrated with 110 colour images.
