Speaker: Helena Sanderson
Helena is an oral historian, genealogist, local history researcher, house historian and heritage creative practitioner based in north west England. She has been involved in a number of heritage projects including most recently managing the Woodland Trust’s Smithills Estate History Group in their endeavours to research, write and publish a book about the history of the ordinary people who lived there in the past.
The aim of this session is to stimulate some ideas about new research projects which may lead to new Turton Local History Society publications in the coming years.
